KOMMA Performance Productions is a production cooperative in the independent field of dance and choreography, based in Copenhagen, Denmark. We produce and co-produce performances, workshops, festivals and other cultural activities. Our aim is to strengthen the independent field’s capacity for cultural innovation and knowledge production by rethinking how independent performing arts are produced, sustained, and shared.

WHO ARE WE?
Our group consists of performing arts practitioners; choreographers, dancers, theatre makers and pedagogues, of diverse European nationalities and backgrounds, educated internationally, formally and informally. We bring together different streams of artistic expressions, and are at different stages of our work life.

HOW ARE WE ORGANISED?
We are registered as an association in the public interest in the field of culture. Our organisation is shaped around rotating working groups and member-driven initiatives; monthly meetings, an online knowledge sharing platform, an annual Tax day, monthly Choreographic Afternoons and the collective development of workplace policies, including collective salary agreements. Each project administered by us agrees to a percentage based fee, which covers running costs of the association.

OUR BOARD IS:
Julie Kunz, independent choreographer, dancer and pedagogue
Cecilie Ullerup Schmidt, professor in Performance Studies at KU
Tina Tarpgaard, director of Sydhavn Teater
Priscilla S. Lind Rasmussen, director of Rum For Resonans

CAN I BECOME A MEMBER?
We are currently running a small-scale pilot program testing our member intake procedures. We will clarify our capacities by September 2026, but feel free to reach out anytime at info@kommaproductions.dk
